Today’s beach day at Ông Lang began with a surprise downpour just as we arrived. But with the sea a toasty 34°C and crystal clear, we didn’t think twice we dived in and swam through the warm tropical rain, laughing as it fell around us. It felt surreal, like we had the entire ocean to ourselves. Being a calm, sheltered beach, Ông Lang’s shallow waters can heat up quickly under the sun, so our swim genuinely felt like dipping into a natural, saltwater bath. (Honestly I have never swam in sea so hot before)
When the rain passed and the sun returned, the beach came to life. We built sandcastles some impressive, some of the classic sad collapsing variety, we walked the shoreline looking for tiny crabs and colourful shells, Georgia playing tour guide and we just slowed down and soaked in the moments.
The kids played happily in the calm sea while we took turns on loungers with mojitos we grabbed from the beach bar, it was magical watching the waves roll in. We stayed all day until 4pm we were sun kissed (burnt), sandy, and smiling we had no plans, no rush, it was just one of those perfect family beach days.
We will definitely go back to that beach again but tomorrow we are off to the biggest theme park in Asia! Think of an Asian Disney copy, called Vin-wonders!
