Sidari Beach: A Picturesque Start
Our journey commenced at the scenic Sidari Beach, where golden sands merge seamlessly with the azure waters of the Ionian Sea. Perfect for families, the beach’s gentle, shallow waters provided a safe playground for our children, while the adults relished the soothing sun. More than just a beach, Sidari is famed for its captivating rock formations, particularly the Canal d’Amour, a natural wonder steeped in local lore that promises marriage soon to those who swim through its waters. As the sun set, casting a palette of fiery tones across the sky, the scene transformed into a living postcard, forever imprinted in our memory.

Aqualand: Thrills and Laughter Day three introduced us to the exhilarating world of Aqualand, one of Europe’s top water parks. The park’s diverse range of slides and attractions catered to thrill-seekers of all ages. Our children were enchanted by the dedicated kids’ area, their laughter merging with the joyful splashes around. The wave pool, in particular, became a collective favourite, luring us into its rhythmic, soothing waves.
Lakones: A Village Frozen in Time On the fourth day, we delved deeper into the heart of Corfu with a visit to the charming village of Lakones. Perched on the hills, Lakones offered a snapshot of traditional Grecian life with its cobbled streets and vibrantly decorated houses. At a hilltop café, we savoured local delicacies while the breathtaking panoramic views of the Ionian Sea stretched before us, a perfect blend of taste and visual splendour.
Paleokastritsa Monastery: Serenity and History Our exploration continued at the tranquil Paleokastritsa Monastery, perched atop a hill overlooking the sea. This spiritual haven also served as a portal to the past, fascinating our children with its colourful frescoes and ancient artefacts, while the expansive sea views provided a moment of awe
Glass-Bottom Boat: Underwater Marvels A truly magical experience awaited us on day six with a voyage on a glass-bottom boat. This journey offered us a glimpse into the vibrant underwater life of Corfu, making it an educational spectacle for both kids and adults. Every marine sighting through the clear glass felt like a discovery, enhancing our connection to the sea’s hidden wonders.

Seaside Retreats: Akron Seascape and Nisaki Beach Days seven and eight were spent basking in the tranquillity of Akron Seascape and Nisaki Beach. While Akron buzzed with vibrant energy, Nisaki offered a more serene beach experience with its pebbly shores, both proving ideal for snorkelling and revealing the rich marine life below.
Peritheia Old Town: Echoes of the Past Our journey through time continued in Peritheia Old Town, a historical ghost town whose paths and stone houses whispered tales of yore. The still-operating old-world cafes and the local beekeeper selling exquisite honey added layers of authenticity and flavour to our visit.

Acharavi Beach: Relaxed Day Out At Acharavi Beach, we enjoyed a day of leisurely beach games and strolls along its extensive sandy shores, savouring local dishes at a beachfront taverna, perfectly accompanied by the rhythmic lapping of the waves.
