After a few vibrant days exploring Chiang Mai, we flew down to Phuket for the next leg of our Thailand family adventure.
✈️ Chiang Mai to Phuket: Easy Flight, Tasty Nostalgia
We booked a smooth midday flight from Chiang Mai to Phuket, which turned out to be a breeze. Before boarding, we grabbed a classic McMuffin meal at McDonald’s and honestly, it tasted exactly like back in the UK. A comforting little taste of home before heading south.
🏨 Checking Into a Phuket Family Resort
The moment we arrived, we knew we’d picked the right place. This Phuket family resort has:
Multiple swimming pools perfect for cooling off in the tropical heat Its own private beach for sunset strolls and lazy afternoons Spacious grounds where the kids can run around safely
If you’re searching for a family friendly hotel in Phuket, this one ticks every box so far.
🚖 First Glimpse of Phuket
Driving from the airport to the resort, the landscape reminded me a lot of Spain a real tourist-first vibe, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops catering to visitors. It feels familiar and welcoming, but I’m looking forward to exploring beyond the main tourist spots in the days ahead.
🌞 Settling Into Resort Life
Time will tell, but after an afternoon swimming and an evening in the on-site play area, I can already see us spending several days enjoying everything this Phuket resort has to offer before moving to our next accommodation. It’s one of those places where the hours disappear in the best way possible.
🌴 Family Verdict So Far
✔️ Sunshine
✔️ Pools
✔️ Kids entertained
✔️ Good food
✔️ Stress free start
It’s exactly what we needed after the busy streets of Chiang Mai were a chance to relax, recharge, and soak up the laid back vibe of Thailand’s most famous island.
