When you ask an 8 year old how they want to spend their birthday in 35Β°C heat under wall to wall sunshine, thereβs really only one answer: WATER PARK! ππ¦
π The Day Beginsβ¦
The morning kicked off with birthday excitement. Georgia tore into her presents with giddy glee, and, like any self respecting 8-year old on her big day, dove straight into a sugary breakfast of sweets. Fuelled up and grinning from ear to ear, we were ready for an adventure.
Luckily, Andamanda Water Park in Phuket doesnβt open until 10 AM, so there was no rush. We rolled in around 10:15 AM, parked up, and the excitement levels hit the roof.
π Welcome to Andamanda: Phuketβs Water Wonderland
This place is MASSIVE weβre talking over 100,000 square metres of wild, splashy fun. Designed around Thai mythology with epic backdrops and vibrant decor, Andamanda Phuket is the largest water park in southern Thailand and packs a punch for all ages.
There are 25+ attractions, including:
5 Themed Zones (including Coral World, The Pearl Palace, and Naga Jungle) Over 12 slides (including racer slides, tube coasters, and vertical plunges) Lazy river (a whopping 550 metres, one of the longest in Asia!) Thailandβs first βtornado waveβ slide A huge wave pool capable of generating 3-metre-high waves (yep, we gave it a crack)
π Fun for All Sizes
Georgia and Dotty started in the kidsβ splash zone, which is perfect for smaller adventurers. Itβs full of mini slides, splash buckets, and safe wading pools with shade covers.
Later, Ali and Georgia teamed up for some racer slides (you know, the ones where you hurtle down head-first on mats) and took on a rubber ring tube ride built for double the chaos.
Then came a real highlight Georgia and I took on the 3-metre vertical plunge slide. Itβs not for the faint-hearted and definitely left our stomachs somewhere up in the sky. π€―π¦
π’ Ultimate Thrills
If you ever wondered what a water-powered rollercoaster feels like, the βEagle Flyerβ water coaster answered that. It launches you up and down using jets of water like a log flume with rocket fuel. Absolute madness, and Georgia LOVED it.
We also drifted through the lazy river, got smashed around in the wave machine, and sampled just about every slide we could find before finally calling it a day at 6 PM.
π€ Knackered but Happy
After 8 hours of non-stop slides, splashes, and laughter, we left sun-kissed, waterlogged, and absolutely exhausted but what a day! Georgia said it was the βbest birthday ever,β and honestly, weβd have to agree.
